The overall style I chose for this video was inspired by the 90’s old TV look, with graphics drawn from 90’s patterns. I color-coded the text and backgrounds to emphasize the characters' differences and the altercation that ensues. Drawing inspiration from their roles on the show, each scene reflects their personalities. In the first scene, Ross corrects Rachel's spelling mistakes, creating a school-like atmosphere, which suits Ross's role as a professor. Rachel's dramatic tendencies are highlighted in scene two, with exaggerated emphasis on phrases like “believe,” “thought,” and “so,” culminating in the dramatic crash-down of “over”. I used transitions strategically to enhance the struggle and humor, particularly leading up to phrases like “fine by me.” The timing of the video was crucial for the jokes to land and for the animations to flow smoothly. I maintained the theme of correcting Rachel’s grammar throughout to underscore the nitpicky nature of their relationship. A standout moment in the video was the inclusion of scrabble pieces, representing Rachel's random insult, which, when visualized, adds an over-the-top element. Pulling away from straight-aligned compositions, I deliberately placed elements off-kilter and incorporated angry animations to convey the emotions of the scene.
